Found some pork chops on sale at the grocery store this week. It was one of those giant packages with tons of chops so we had to come up with a couple new recipes to make use of them! This was one we found that turned out great! Go to www.simplyrecipes.com to see the complete recipe.
Chopped Italian parsley, chopped scallions, butter, and Dijon mustard.
Dry white wine, olive oil, chicken broth, and heavy cream.
Added the wine and broth to deglaze the pan. Reduce for about 3 minutes.
Momma needed a little deglazing too. (What? There was only a sip left in the bottle! I couldn't let it go to waste!)
Dad's deglazing. This didn't go into the recipe, just into the Dad.
After the liquid reduced by half the cream was added.
Let it reduce for another 3 minutes. It gets thick and silky. Mmmm.
Whisk in dijon and parsley and return chops to pan. Turn off heat and serve. We served it with some bowtie pasta. Broccoli or asparagus would have been a nice side dish. It was delicious! If you try this recipe please leave us a comment on how you liked it!
